Arthritis is a real problem. It affects everything in my life. But it was something thrown at me and I have to deal with it. You can help to make it easier. But you can't make it go away. that being said. every little thing helps. Holding a door open for me or carrying my books to my class for me when I am having a flare day, It's the little things. Eating

I know there are all these "Arthritis Diets" that are supposed to be a miracle and healed your grandma's best friend's husband, but lets be real. They don't work. Hate to break it to you, but it's the truth. Those gluten free diets only help when you are allergic to gluten. And those whatever cleanses, no. By disturbing our already fragile system you throw it into more chaos. And there are also foods that cause your immune system to act up and can cause a huge flare up.

People need to keep in mind that our arthritis is different than the kind your elderly acquaintance has. W didn't do anything to get ours. Keeping that in mind, if all you eat is junk food 24/ 7 and you are severely over weight, then a diet may help. Just do it the smart way. Being severely overweight can make the symptoms (or whatever you want to call it) of the arthritis more prominent. But that is no reason to not exercise and eat healthy. Because you live a healthier life, you feel better.

I remember when I was slightly overweight. I wasn't like 100 pounds overweight or anything, but it was still a problem. It stressed my joints more than necessary and just wasn't that great for my system. But then i was able to lose that bit of excess weight and felt better. But i lost the weight the smart way.

I knew I was never going to be a size 0 model, but I was ok with that. Because I was able to uncover a beautiful body underneath the girl I used to be. I have curves where they were intended to be, and I can still eat that chocolate cake or whatever. I didn't have to starve myself. That ruins a system and never has the desired effect. Take it a little at a time. All I had to do was cut back on my serving sizes and junk food. And it had a great outcome. I exercise, as I am able, and I'm not self-conscious like I used to be.

So when you see someone who isn't perfectly fit, just remember. We all have our own struggles. And please, don't tell me how to "cure" my arthritis. I have tried it all. I know what helps and what doesn't. You don't know my story, so please hold off judgement and opinions...
